At a time when training organisations are increasingly challenged to find ways of ensuring the authenticity of the certificates they issue, a significant new technology called the blockchain might very well provide a permanent solution to this conundrum.
A blockchain is a data structure that makes it possible to create a digital ledger of transactions and share it among a network of computers. It uses cryptography to allow each participant on the network to manipulate the ledger in a secure way without the need for a central authority.
Essentially, a blockchain could be used to authenticate every academic certificate issued by an RTO in a way that makes it impossible to tamper with, or produce false certificates.
Ammonite is actively working on bringing blockchain technology to our platform in a way that will make authenticating certificates simple, and incredibly reliable.
