Is it possible for the White Card to be done online in a way that meets all of the requirements of the Unit?

How can an online course satisfy the unit requirements when it clearly requires that students:
  • Identify and explain applicable OHS requirements;
  • Identify and explain own responsibility to comply with safety requirements;
  • Identify and discuss common construction hazards
  • Identify and explain the role of designated OHS personnel
  • Identify and explain procedure for responding to incidents and emergencies
  • Verbally report construction hazards and risks;
  • Ask effective questions.

Online White Card Course that meets the concerns raised by the ASQA review?

There has been much debate of late about whether the White Card course can be done online in a way that addresses the concerns raised by the recent ASQA White Card review.(See the ASQA White Card review.)

These concerns need be addressed as they have implications for the future of e-learning.

At Ammonite, we believe that we have created a White Card course that utilises methods and technologies that address all of the issues raised. But, for a student to complete the course online they must have access to and use a webcam.

Security Flaws in Many Online Assessments

I quite often come across online assessments that allow students to easily cheat. Whilst I don't believe these companies would knowingly do this, it still astounds me as these mistakes are elementary.
